 Drinking alcohol in college has become a common practice that students view as an integral part of their college experience, establishing abusive drinking habits in students that are causing problems in academic life, social life, and a student’s health. What causes students to get on the binge drinking and alcohol abuse bandwagon and why? How has the view of drinking alcohol as a “normal” practice caused more students to take part in drinking in college? How has drinking habits in college changed over the last 50 years and why?  What are ways students can be prevented from having these drinking habits? How can an effort to not drink in college improve a student’s academic life, social life, and health during their college years and in their future?
